Get outside, explore the wilderness, and camp in the Tahoe Gear Olympia 10-Person 3-Season Tent.
Great for sleeping 10 people, this tent is ideal for an overnight with the family or a group of friends or for your longer camping excursions. It's equipped with easy setup poles, pin-and-rings, stakes, guy ropes, and a rainfly for unexpected rain. The Olympia has excellent air circulation through the open mesh roof and floor vents keep you all cool throughout the night for pleasant snoozing.
A high, 84-inch center and tall wall height allow you and your fellow campers to move spaciously through the tent. With abundant space and functionality, the Tahoe Gear Olympia 10-Person 3-Season Tent is ready to house your next group of campers.
I bought this tent because I like to be able to stand up inside, needed the extra floor space because I camp with pets, and the extra room to be able to get out of the rain and not have to be cramped. The tent will fit three queen size airbeds, or two and a table and two chairs. The tent did not disappoint on size or height. My issue came with the set up of the tent. The instructions are easy to read and follow, there are even pictures. It does take more than one person to set this up. If you are not tall -- I'm 5'7" -- you will have a had time getting the rain-fly over the top of the tent. I did. The poles never did seem to fit correctly, the shorter pair still seemed to long for their location on the tent. I also found the rain-fly to be too tight. I would secure it on one side but would have to pull very hard to get it to barely slide over the pole on the other side. I also could not get the floor to lay completely flat. I believe it was the odd shape of the tent that contributed to this issue. The stakes, ropes, and poles seemed to make it gather at those points on the floor. If I got the front flat the back would gather. I found it was easier to just avoid using that floor space, which was only about 4 inches at the sides, than to keep running around trying to reposition the tent, stakes, and guide ropes. Because the rain-fly was tight it was also impossible to get the pole over the door to stay straight. after my first set up at home I did call Tahoe Gear for support. They did tell me that they heard similar issues with set-up but they could not tell me if the poles were incorrect or the fly was made to tight unless I shipped it back at my expense. They couldn't do anything about the fly, but I could order slightly shorter poles, also at my expense. Over-all the tent appears sturdy and well made. The size and height inside is great. Set-up can be hard at times, but instructions are easy to follow. Customer service wasn't what I expected. I would still recommend this tent, but only for people with the patience to deal with set-up and customer service.
